ASD Ash Slurry Duty Pump (Repalce SRC/SRH)
1.Casting material is cast iron, ASTM A48 Class 30 for 9 bar construction or ductile iron ASTM A536 grade 65-45一12 for 16 and 35 bar ratings.
2.Elastomer liners shall be field replaceable, bolt-in type molded under high pressure for maximum density and consistency.
3.Impellers are large diameter, closed type, dynamically balanced for smooth operation at high effeciency.
4.All pumps are field convertible between wet and dry gland configurations.
5.Pumps equipped with slurry type mechanical seals shall be supplied with an elastomer lined tapered stuffing box of a design sufficient to dissipate local heat buildup and resist the abrasive and/or corrosive effects of the slurry.
6.Bearings shall be heavy duty cylindrical and dual tapered roller design to provide maximum B一10 life.
7.The pump pedestal is a rigid casting allowing the pump to be bolted directly to a foundation pad and be of sufficient length to accept mill duty electric motors in piggyback, overhead mount configuration.
8.One of the leading causes of bearing failure in slurry pumps is contamination of the bearing cartridge by water,dirt or other foreign material. ASD pumps use a three barrier seal system to protect the grease lubri-Gated cartridge assemblies from contamination.The impeller-side seal assembly is most vulnerable to contamination because of its proximity to the pump gland area. When the pump seal fails, high pressure water or slurry can be nozzled directly at the bearing cartridge placing great stress on the cartridge sealing system.
